I got into this work because I kept watching friends and family make big financial decisions without anyone walking them through the actual tradeoffs, just paperwork and sales pitches. I wanted to be the person who explains things clearly first, and sells second.

Today I work with people across Canada (everywhere except Quebec) on life insurance, health and disability coverage, RRSP and investment planning, and RESP savings for their kids. Some clients come in with a specific question, "how much life insurance do I actually need," and others just want a second opinion on a plan they already have.

Either way, my approach is the same: understand the full picture first, explain the options in plain language, and never recommend something I wouldn't suggest to my own family.

Licensing, in plain language

I'm licensed to sell life and health insurance through BCFSA in British Columbia, with reciprocal licensing that lets me work with clients in other provinces too. I'm also registered to sell investment products, which is regulated separately through CIRO. Both licenses come with rules about what I can say and how I can say it, which is exactly how it should be, this is your money and your family, and the rules exist to protect you.

One thing worth knowing up front: I'm not currently licensed to serve Quebec residents, so if that's you, I unfortunately can't help directly, but I'm happy to point you toward someone who can.
